ITEC Diploma Diet & Nutrition for Complementary Therapists

1 module to include 1 written paper & Case Studies

For qualified Massage Therapists. Students who hold an ITEC Diploma in a Complementary Therapy, Sports, Complementary, Yoga or Pilates field can
sit the ITEC Diet & Nutrition Exam.

Course contents:
All the major Nutrients, Protein, Fats, Carbohydrates, Vitamins, Minerals, Water and Antioxidants
Anti-Nutrients such as Alcohol, Caffeine, Smoking, Environmental Pollutants and there affect on the body.
Foods such as Meat, Dairy, Fruit, Vegetables, Grains, Nuts, Seeds and there role in a healthy diet.
Conditions and Disorders such as Obesity, Diabetes, Hypoglycemia and Eating Disorders.
Diets to help treat common ailments such as Constipation, Cystitis, IBS, and Sinusitis.
Dietary needs of specific groups including pregnant women, children and the older individual.
Observational methods to obtain a holistic picture of your client including nail, face and tongue analysis and pH readings.
