Hypnotherapy - it's all in your mind I am often asked about hypnosis and "are the effects just your imagination at work"? Of course it is your mind playing games with you, however, it was just your mind playing games in the first place. Your mind is all you have to work with. Your beliefs, behaviours, feelings, reactions are all generated in your mind first, and then passed on to other parts of your body. As a child and when you were growing up, you were 'programmed' by a great number of people and events. The way you make decisions, the way you react to a situation, the way you behave in certain circumstances are all a part of the way you were programmed early in life. You copied your parents and older siblings. "This", I hear you say "is only natural" - and you are right. You see, we are actually being hypnotised every day of our life - and we are not even aware of it. By considering what has been written above, you can see how easily we can deliberately and consciously use the power of positive suggestion (HYPNOSIS) to make enormous and lasting changes. Technically, in hypnosis, the brain waves are slowed down from the waking state - also known as the 'Beta State' - to the 'Alpha State, which is just above sleep. This is a very natural state, considering that we do this every evening while going to sleep, and reverse that upon waking in the morning. This is what makes hypnosis a very natural state and not the 'scary' and 'out of control' image that is promoted on ill informed, so called 'Entertainment' television programs. If you have emotional, physical or mental issues that are preventing you from living a fulfilling and contented life, I would suggest that you see a good, qualified Hypnotherapist, who can help you make these changes. Remember, the Hypnotherapist cannot change you. You do that. Changes cannot be made without your permission. If you are a caring person and would like to learn how to use hypnosis to help others, you can become a qualified Hypnotherapist in less than a year. If you are already a practising complementary therapist, why not add 'Hypnotherapist' to your resume. For more information on Hypnotherapy Diploma courses and / or hypnosis go to www.billkerins.com |
