Pregnancy Massage Workshop
For Qualified Massage Therapists

Recent medical journals have published positive results from massage therapy during pregnancy.

There are a number of benefits which include :

Reduced muscle tension in the Back - less back pain
Improved Sleep patterns
Reduction in the Stress Response
Fewer complications in Labour

In addition, one of the most exciting findings shows that women massaged during pregnancy had babies with fewer post-natal complications and a lower rate of prematurity.

Pregnancy massage, like our Holistic Massage aims to relax tense muscles, improve circulation and mobility, stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system and encourage a sense of wellbeing and total relaxation. However, the benefits to the Mum-to-be can include :

Reduction in muscle tension, particularly in the lower back
Increase in blood and lymph circulation, which can reduce swelling.
Reduces stress on weight-bearing joints.
Improves outcome of labor and eases labor pain.
Enhances the pliability of skin and underlying tissues, reducing the appearance of stretch marks
Provides support for the new mother with physical and emotional strains of mothering.

This One Day workshop will cover :

FULL BODY MASSAGE ROUTINE to include extra cushioning and support for Client.

You will need to provide :-
2 Large baths sheets
1 Single Flat Sheet
Massage Oil
Antiseptic Wipes
Antiseptic Hand Gel
