"Reflexology is a gentle non-invasive holistic therapy that is centuries old. It is an effective form of therapeutic foot massage that works on precise reflex points on the feet. The feet are regarded as a map or a mirror of the person and their body.

The aim of reflexology is to treat the whole person – body, mind and spirit – to induce a state of relaxation, balance and harmony which may help to stimulate the body’s own healing processes. This is important as it is when the body is in a stressed, tense state that illnesses are more likely to occur. Reflexology can be a wonderful way to ease stress and may be regarded as a positive step towards a healthier lifestyle."

3 modules to include 3 written papers

Reflexology :
Reflexology uses the feet as a diagnostic map of the whole body. This
therapy rebalances the body through applying gentle but firm pressure to certain parts of the feet which correspond to bodies systems.

Course content includes the following:
- History, theories and philosophies of Reflexology and its origins
- Code of practice and ethics for Reflexologist's
- The structure of the foot and ankle
- Benefits of Reflexology
- Methods of consultation
- Contraindications in Reflexology
- Disorders and conditions of the feet and hands
- Clients reactions to treatments
- Aftercare advice
- Referral procedures

Anatomy & Physiology : Classes covering all systems of the body
including review classes. (Cell, Tissue/Skin, Skeletal, Muscular system,
Circulatory, Lymphatic system, Nervous system, endocrine system, Digestive system, Respiratory system, Urinary system )

Unit 22 Business Awareness: Theory classes for Unit 22 Professional Conduct and Business Awareness will be scheduled throughout the course.

Energy Awareness & Stress Management :-
This is a vital part of all diploma courses held within the centre. It creates recognition within the therapist of their own healing and wholeness on all levels. The 'Mind Body Spirit and Healing" energies classes equips you to recognise disease patterns and look beyond the presenting symptoms to find the underlying cause. The Chakras and more subtle energies of the body are explored. It also attunes the student to healing energies through visualisation meditation and 'hands on experience'. The course includes practical work and provides space for the student to discuss, share and explore with others in a safe and gentle atmosphere.

Become a qualified Reflexologist. No prior knowledge needed.

MORNING
Thursday morning course starts on Saturday 11th May and runs every Thursday morning from 10am - 1pm. EXAM January 2014 (Summer Break - No Classes August 2013). If you don't already have Anatomy & Physiology, these classes will run on Monday mornings. Full time available on request

EVENING
Tuesday Evening course starts on Saturday 11th May and runs every Tuesday evening from 7pm - 10pm EXAM January 2014 (Summer Break - No Classes August 2013). If you don't already have Anatomy & Physiology, these classes will run on Saturdays from Sept 2013. Full time available on request
